Biography

Dr Lam Wai Man graduated from the University of Hong Kong and is currently the Deputy Chief of Service of the Department of Medicine of Haven of Hope Hospital in Hong Kong. He is a registered specialist in Palliative Medicine and was the Chairman of the Hong Kong Society of Palliative Medicine from 2013 to 2015.

Currently, Dr Lam serves as a Specialty Board Member of Palliative Medicine at the Hong Kong College of Physicians and the Chairman of the Training Subcommittee of the Central Committee in Palliative Care for the Hospital Authority.

His research interests include palliative care needs of cancer and non-cancer patients in Hong Kong, existential distress and hope in advanced cancer patients, and horticultural therapy in a palliative care setting. He also conducts university courses in palliative are to medical students.
